  ULEMHAS members are cordially invited to a talk on Saturday 18th April 2009 organised by the Historical Association, Central London Branch - Dr. Richard Williams (Birkbeck College) will be talking on "Holbein at the Court of Henry VIII".

The talk takes place at 2.00 pm prompt at the Institute of Historical Research, Senate House, University of London, Malet Street, WC1E 7HU (the current venue for ULEMHAS study days) - the talk is free to Historical Association members - £3 non-members - no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.

  • All lectures are at the Courtauld Institute, Somerset House and at 6 pm except for that on 24th January.
  • Lectures are free to members, visiting full-time students £1.50; other non-members £3.50
    No need to pre-book
  • Evening lectures are followed by a small social gathering with wine at which it is possible to discuss the lecture with fellow members and to talk to the lecturer.
  • The lecture theatre is on the top floor, up a long staircase. A lift is available up a short flight of steps. If you need step-free access, a direct lift can be used, but you need to give notice - either to the Courtauld or to us - see our Contact page.
